ナルト俳句 Naurto Haiku

A friend of mine is currently working on a Naruto 同人誌 Doujinshi (a kind of Japanese Manga fanzine) and I agreed to contribute a little bit. The topic is the 漫画 Manga / Anime Naruto and I decided to make 俳句 Haiku about the main characters:

春の使者
ぶっ飛ばさせて
惨い拳

Der Bote des Fruehlings
laesst dich ganz weit fliegen
mit graussamer Faust

The messenger of spring,
makes you fly afar
with cruel fist.

オロチマル
蛇の大ピエロ
古い皮膚

Orochimaru
der grosse Clown aller Schlangen
(nichts als) eine alte Haut

Orochimaru
the biggest clown of all the snakes
(nothing but) an old skin

黒い影
蛇の殺し屋
女性の夢

der schhwarze Schatten,
der Auftragskiller der Schlange,
und Traum aller Maedchen

the black shadow
assassin of the snake
and a girls' dream

影になる
ラーメン食べて
おめでたい

(Ho)kage werden!
waehrend man Ramen isst
Na Herzlichen Glueckwunsch, du Naivling
(Ein 駄洒落 Japanisches Wortspiel: Omedetou Heisst Glueckwunsch, aber Medetai naiv, dumm und leichtglauebig)

(this is a 駄洒落, a Japanese Pun: Omedetou means congratulations, but medetai means naive, stupid and gullible)

俳句の遍路 A Pilgrimage In Haiku

After getting complaints, I could not express myself with a few words and the request to express the experiences of the pilgrimage more tight, I remembered about my journey's diary. In it I kept records of the day in something fixed, short and tight, yet powerful in expressing thoughts and feelings.

新年御来光

不眠の夜
古い温泉静養
道の裏

遍路初め
仏の下から
遠い展望

冬の登山
覆い隠して
天国到着

どこにもない
山の血道まで
勇猛な予定

７日

頑張ってのに
外で寝られない
仏の天使

８日

不眠が２倍
故郷へ行き先
月光ながら

switching from train to train
one day long

Day 2

expensive clothes
and wonderful gifts
the new year's first sunlight

Day 3

a night without sleep
relax in the old onsen
behind the streets

Day 4

the pilgrimage begins
from below the Buddha
you can see very far

Day 5

the climbing of mountains in winter
completely covered and hidden
the arrival at paradise

Day 6

from out of nowhere
to the vein of the mountains
a daring plan

Day 7

despite the greatest efforts
you cannot sleep outside
Buddhist angels

Day 8

the lack of sleep doubled
destination: home
going under moonlight

my thoughts after living in Japan for half a year....

憎愛関係 Love-Hate Relationship

Oh how I hate your simple-mindedness,
only looking around you and never afar
life is easy as long as all is the same
and of course you do what you're told.

Oh how I love your plain-friendliness,
always helping when around you help is needed,
loving peace and harmony all around you
and of course you're always polite to everyone.

Oh how I detest your organizedness,
every week at least one fruitless meeting,
the whole world a tight working schedule
and leaving the organization, unthinkable!

Oh how I embrace your fantasticness,
every year wond'ring anew of blossoms and colored leaves,
the whole world a place of magic wonders
and delving in fantastic worlds, routine!

I can neither hate nor love you,
once you showed your dark mask of apathy,
the next day you spin strings of golden compassion;
your whole existence, a paradox.
